I need a good receipe for sweet potatoes.
My new mother-in-law asked me to bring them for Thanksgiving.
I don't like them, so I have never made them.
I need a great tasting, hopefully easy receipe.
Thanks in advance.

Sweet potatoes

Do you want a casserole? I use the recipe for whipped sweet potato bake on the jet puff marshmallow package, it is really easy. Paula Deen, the southern chef on the food network has a recipe on the food network site for sweet potato balls, which have a marshmallow in the center and are rolled in coconut.

Worlds best

Let me say, it is a 2 day process but I have only received accolades about my famous sweet potatoes.
(wednesday night)
Peel and cut into chunks your sweet potatoes
boil in a large pot until soft.
strain out all of the water
get a 9x11 glass baking dish
melt 1 stick of butter and pour on the bottom of pan
lay a thin covering of "light" brown sugar (3/4 cup)
place sweet potatoes in the pan (they should still be hot) layer them no
more than 3 high
baste each sweet potato with butter and then crumble brown sugar
on top of the sweet potatoes (you may need another stick )
cover with foil and put in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes
refrigerate after 10 minutes of cooling time

(thursday afternoon)

take out the sweet potatoes and place in a 350 oven for 30 minutes
rebaste the potatoes and sprinke a little more brown sugar (3/4 up)
on top of potatoes
bake at 300 for 30 more minutes uncovered
10 min before serving, pour miniature marshmallows on top an put it
back in the oven to melt and brown the marshmallows.

They melt in your mouth, tasste like candy

Use sweetened butter sticks
you can also cut down on your brown sugar and butter if needed

Word of caution, get some of that glad stick type covering, if not, the butter may get all over you and your car on the way. also, you could remove the butter and add it back in when you get there.
