Any ideas for 1/2 hour a week kindergarten computer class would be great. We have Office, kid pix and the usual kids games I would like to teach something meaningful and constructive.

Go to starfall.com - the kids love it. It has stories for the children to read and it will read it to them. It also has games for them to play

I am an intern and the Technology teacher at my school took various pictures of the students in a program, and then had them choose the photos that they wanted in it. They then selected the the music that they wanted to go along with it. The tech. teacher used fundings from the school and bought cheap dvd's which she burned the movie to. This way if the parents weren't there they could see their child in the program. You could even use Windows Media Player for that instead of buying another program. The kids loved creating it and seeing themselves on it!!

What a wonderful idea. My 7th graders do a powerpoint presentation and we take pictures of all the kids and teachers in the whole school and then show the presentation at an all school assembly. We have a CD playing that is peppy through the whole thing and the kids love it. I never thought about putting the kids pictures on dvd's to take home.
