Thanksgiving activities

Looking for some holiday activities that incorporate Math and Reading. Thank you!

The Thanksgiving Dinner project is the obvious answer. Select a whole menu or just a favorite recipe and price the cost of the ingredients to figure our the price of a Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of variations on that. At this late date, you might want to pick a recipe or menu yourself and do the pricing unless your kids would have easy computer access to grocery prices.

Colonial Williamsburg has a connection to a collection of lessons. I like this one but didn't have to teach in a time when facts were considered by some to be unpatriotic.
