time capsule story starter

My school is burying a time capsule next month and each class is supposed to contribute something that shows what life is like today (anything from current events to current music and tv). Any suggestions for story starters that my 4th graders can use for a short writing piece?

Maybe they could wtite something about how gas prices are affecting every aspect of their lives.

The war in Iraq (popular topic here because we are close to a military base)

What about just "My 3 favorite things about being a 4th grader in 2006"? Leaves it open for them to explore their favorite things. Maybe brainstopm some of the pop culture today, movies, music, etc.

A compare/contrast about how things are today and how they THINK it will be when the capsule is opened.
