To those who recommended bare minerals....

THANK YOU! I switched over spring break two weeks ago and have received SO many complements still. When I came back to school, everyone wanted to know what I did over Spring Break because they said I looked great! I also switched skin care products (now using an acne care line from Murad), and I don't know if it's that or the makeup or a combination, but my skin is much clearer! I'm very pleased with my new stuff, and don't think I'll ever go back to any other kind of makeup. Again, thank you!

I've been thinking about using Bare Minerals, but isn't it pretty expensive. How long does it usually last? (i.e., how often do you have to pay for more?)

I don't know how often you have to get more. A friend says every 6 months to a year, depending on whether you're talking about foundation, blush, etc. There's a special going on right now for ther 30th anniversary. It's a REALLY good deal! About 1/2 of what I paid at Ulta. the website for the special is www.trybareminerals.com. It's so worth every penny!

Hi there! I just started using Bare Minerals in Nov. and love it too! You asked how long it lasts. I got the starter kit (2 foundation shades, warmth and mineral veil). I just now ran out of the mineral veil (had it since Nov.) and still have plenty of the foundation and warmth left for at least another month. It is expensive but since it lasts for so long it's really not that bad. And I use it every day.

Sorry I didn't answer your question sooner. I was at school and couldn't answer until I got home. Anyway, it's the Murad acne complex system. I got a 30-day supply (roughly - most things will last longer than 30 days) at Ulta, but I also found it online at http://www.murad.com/Acne-Skin-site10020.jsp.
