too much PDA

Maybe I am just a prude, but I have been very uncomfortable around my very close friend and her husband. Lately they have been talking "dirty" to one another in my presence and it was not in a joking manner. It was downright appalling. They also kept leaving the room when I was visiting today to do what I don't know, but I kept hearing giggling and slamming. I am not opposed to public displays of affection but this was ridiculous. How do I handle this? I am happy that they love each other, but I think it should be saved for times they are alone. Also, when they left the room today, I was left with their 2 month old and 4 year old to take care of. Am I being prudish or is there a tactful way for me to address this with them?

I'm bad, but if it was me...

I'd tell the 4 year-old to stay put and then pick up the baby and search them out. When I found them I'd hand them the baby and say something like I think the diaper needs changing. Then I'd leave giggling like a school girl.

They are both in their late 30's. I have known them for years and this has never happened before.

I can sympathize

My BIL and his wife do this too - well, not talking dirty (as far as I know, but they do a lot of whispering), but waaaay too much PDA. To be fair, they are newly married and in their early twenties, but it gets very old after a while. DH's entire family winds up being disgusted by them each time we all get together. I don't think I ever acted that way...maybe in high school, but not as an adult and definitely not in front of other people! <!--yuck-->
