Hi everyone,

I was looking for some great places to travel to. I have been traveling a few times a year ever since I was a senior in college. I am now almost 27 and have been to some amazing places. I made a promise to myself that before I got married and had kids ( and before i moved out of my parents house so I can afford to do this lol!), I would go to as many places as I could. I am going to be getting engaged to my boyfriend within a year so I am only going to get the chance to splurge one or two more times on a big vacation. So far I have been to:
London, Prague, Budapest, Madrid and Barcelona, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, Rome, Eastern/Western/Southern Caribbean, and The Inca Trail Peru.

I was wondering if any of you went somewhere that you considered to be your best vacation outside of the United States. There are so many places to go to that I am having a difficult time deciding. Thanks for your responses...

India and Thailand. Hands down. Hong Kong too if you can swing it. I was in Bangkok and Calcutta but also went up to Darjeeling. It was breathtaking. Try to avoid the rainy season if you can though. Enjoy!

Holidays

We loved Lake Louise in Canada. Two weeks before summer in 1996. We skiied and walked loving the snow. We don't get this in Australia.
In Australia totally different from the states. Great Barrier Reef or Coral Bay in WA for snorkelling no where better fish and coral. Australia has so many different places eg Ayers Rock.:)

Just wondering

Why do your destinations have to be out of the U.S. ? Have you done a lot of traveling already in the U.S. ?

Well, first of all, I live in The United States, so I really want to experience different things. I have traveled throughout the United States growing up and now its time to do things that are different.

In the US I have been to Texas (Houston and Dallas), Florida (I went to college there so I saw all of that), Vermont, Massachusettes, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, Virginia, Maryland, D.C., Washington State, California (wine country and San Francisco), The Grand Canyon, Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Of course there are things I'd like to see still in the U.S. but I feel I have my whole life to see them...things I can see with a family. If I ever have kids I can't see myself dragging them to Egypt or Prague or Hong Kong.

Italy

My favorite vacation was Italy. I thought France/Paris would be best, but it couldn't compare to Italy. Not only were the food, history and sightseeing spectacular, but the people were SOOoooo wecoming and friendly.
