Unique Gift Idea

My brother is hosting our family Thanksgiving at his home. (11 adults and 13 cousins) We all live in different states. He is paying for all our flights to his home and either a hotel room or housing in his home for the weekend. I have ordered a fall floral arrangement to be sent to his house on Wednesday from my family and I, but I would also like to take his family a gift. As you can guess, he is well off and doesn't need anything so I need to think of something unique and different . Any suggestions?

Maybe you could take a group picture while you are there. Have everyone sign something special on a matte for the picture. (keep in mind vertical or horizontal positioning) Have it framed and send it to him for Christmas.

take lots of pictures, then using Snapfish, make a book. You could write the story to go along with the pictures.

Edible Arrangements

Not sure how 'original' this idea is, but recently I have been seeing these 'Edible Arrangements' stores popping up in our area. (Looks like they've been around for a few years, but I guess the franchise market for these is growing.) Since they are relatively new to us I'm planning on having a couple of these delivered to family members for the holidays.

photo calendar

Take pictures while you are there and composite them into a photo calender. I did one through Costco last year for my sister and she loved it! You can add a picture for each month plus you can add a picture on the actual date of your family member's birthdays.

I like the personal ideas like photos. Or you could get them an "event", like tickets to a great show coming up soon, family membership at a local zoo or science centre, or make a donation in their name to a favorite personal charity, like a local library, housing for humanity, cancer research. My good friend sponsored an African classroom in my name and I was very touched.
