My family goes through lots of large plastic Dannon yogurt containers.
Do you have any good ideas of what I can do with them in my first grade classroom?
Thanks!

Storage!!

You can use them for storage of little things. I use large PB jars for highlighters, extra scissors, etc. You could even put math manipulatives in there and then pass them out to parnters or tables.

Even if you can't use them, I am sure other teachers would be able to. Save them!

containers

You could use them for water for watercolors, paints, other supplies. Marker cups, pencil cups, etc. Or else I'm sure the art teacher would take them. Or if nothing else, put them out in your art center and let kids be creative with them.

little things!

I would use them to collect little objects that all begin with the same letter. Label the container with that letter and students (eventually, when you have lots of objects and a container for each letter) will be able to sort the objects by the initial consonant. Good luck!
