Hi, everyone! Time to celebrate!!! :)

Today WAS the day!!! :) I passed "the final test" with FLYING colors...I walked in the doctor's office, WITHOUT my cane, and made my grand "debut" at his office. And...it only took me 8 1/2 months to get walking again...like a semi-normal person!!! :) SO....he released me from his care, and of course I also got released from physical therapy, and of course, now...I can start to "move on"....and start playing a little hardball with my friend's insurance company, who by the way admitted 100% responsibility for this accident.

So, partytime!!!! :)

YEEEEEHAAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!

So glad to hear it!!!

Congratulations!!! You've gone through so much and deserve this. Good luck to you, and take it easy. With the holidays approaching, you don't want to overdo it.

Good for you!

Get out your umbrella!!!

Forecast:Showers of Blessings on the way!
We've been praying for you, REB, so get ready! After a former post, I prayed that you would be moving better than before the accident, so praise Him with that voice of yours!
You'll be "singing in the rain" in showers of blessings and sounds like you'll be dancing like Gene Kelly, soon.
Sing it, Honey!

Don't do to much partying, you could wind up back in a cast again (just kidding). Congratulations to be back in the almost normal world (we are all a bit abnormal). Just in time for holiday shopping. Good luck and don't give up until you get a fair price.

Thanks, y'all...:)

I needed that. I am walking up steps today..which is a challenge in itself, and this will be the first time I've visited my mom and dad since I moved out April1, after living with them after the accident, for the entire month of March, and my dad even built me a handicapped ramp, so my wheelchair could go up and down, and I wouldn't have to scoot my rear up and down his steps. Today, I'm going to walk up his steps. :)

I am very thankful for all of your wonderful support and encouragement. YOU ALL have made this A LOT easier, and thanks for listening.

I look forward to being able to look back on this one day, and laugh, and to be able to do something nice for my mom and dad, and my own little family, once all of this is over, and things are settled.
We have been talking about taking a vacation since our little girl for about 2 1/2 years now, and my husband and I have NEVER been on a vacation, never took a honeymoon, we did take a couple weekend trips, his company party things a few years ago, when he worked there, but it will be nice to finally be ABLE to take a vacation, and enjoy it...maybe in the summer! :) Also, we had been talking about getting our own place, since we've been renting since we've been married. And, now that we have a kid, and a cat, and both have jobs right now, the only part that's missing is a house...lol.
Thanks again everyone, and yes, this truely is a Thankful Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for so many things... to be alive, my family, my extended family (even though they make me roll my eyes some days), and my students, my online friends, and my not on-line friends, my friends from school, and the ability to walk again. This has been a roller coaster of a year, but when I look around, I can't help but be happy...all I have to do is look out the window, and think about all the many people who don't have the things I have, and I'm grateful.

P.S.
DJ/SC I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your sense of humor!!! Very cute. ;)

Thanks, REB!

I really TRY to keep my insanity a secret, but, after twenty years in the Art Room, I've decided I've earned it! :D
You're going to be fine, because you have a wonderful heart. People are drawn to you because of your sparkling personality, also.
Keep teaching those babies; they need you! And, take care of your own talent while you're at it!

(It's a good thing we don't teach in the same state, the public school system would never be the same!!!!:p )
